Child Dedications at GraceValley are a meaningful moment where we partner with parents as they commit to raising their child(ren) with spiritual intention and purpose, centered on Jesus. This is a time to pause, celebrate, and surround your family with people who will walk alongside you and help point your child(ren) to a God who loves them deeply.



As a church family, we come alongside you as you guide your child(ren) toward a life of faith, hope, and purpose. From the very beginning, we’re committed to helping you build a strong spiritual foundation—and reminding you that at GraceValley, you’re never doing this alone. Register for the upcoming Child Dedication Sunday

REGISTER YOUR CHILD

No. We believe that a child must be old enough to understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus Christ before they can be baptized. This event is an opportunity for you as parents to publicly declare that you want to raise your child to develop their own relationship with Jesus Christ.

Child dedication is not a requirement from scripture. However, we believe that widening the circle  of adults in your child's(ren's) life is important to help support you as you raise your child(ren) to follow Jesus.

Parents of children getting dedicated at GraceValley Church must be attending regularly and engaged in the life of the church.

The dedication event is hosted in the Main Sanctuary during a Sunday Worship Experience and part of Worship.  

At the end of your registration when you select "Submit" you will receive a brief confirmattion sentence.  We will contact you the week before the Dedication Sunday to confirm any details with you.  Thre is no limit to the number of dedications on a Sunday.

The dedication moment lasts about 10 minutes. Families will be invited to the front of the stage on the main floor. While facing the speaker, parents will be asked a simple question affirming their commitment to raise their child(ren) according to God’s Word and to do all they can to give them the opportunity to know and follow Jesus. A simple response of “Yes” is all that is required.


The second part of the dedication involves our church family. The congregation will stand to commit to supporting you, praying for you, and providing a loving church community where your child(ren) can grow in faith. A prayer will be offered over your family, dedicating your child(ren) to God and commissioning you in your role as parents, with God’s Word as your guide. Each child will receive a special, age-appropriate gift at the close of the prayer.

Invite your friends and family to celebrate with you. They are welcome to take photos and videos from their seats. Our Capture Team will be taking photos of each dedication, which will be available on our Facebook page within 24–48 hours. The worship experience will also be streaming live, allowing distant family and friends to celebrate with you from their phone or computer.

Whatever you and your little one(s) will feel most comfortable in! Some people dress casually in jeans, while others dress up more.  It is up to you.
